What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We only upload images approved but if your location is uploaded it may contain location data and will do if it is embedded from a public service such as Google Maps. Should you require us to remove it please get in touch.

Contact forms

Our contact form is just that. We use the information you send us to carry out business functions associated with your request. You are not added to a mailing list nor are your details sent to any third party unless ordered by a court of law.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. We have turned off the comment system on our blog.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. We have turned off the comment system on our blog.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

Our data is held on EU servers and maintains the highest levels of security. Any data held on the server (such as contact information) is removed as soon as it is received by our staff. They then hold this information in a central repository secured with strong security. We do not use this data on any public networks.

What data breach procedures we have in place

Should a data breach occur we will inform you straight away as well as the Information Commissioners Office that such a breach has occurred. We will then investigate how it happened and ensure that any security issues are addressed.

What third parties we receive data from

Occasionally we receive data information from our analytical companies such as Google and Microsoft. This information is never personal and is used for analytical purposes.

When you apply to purchase software from our site (Pano2VR) we hold your details and also pass them to the software provider to enable us to deliver this service. This includes, name, business name, address, and card details (through a secure approved service).

We use the data provided to us to keep our business informed and to provide professional services to our clients.
